Wincy Kung is a Hong Kong artist, illustrator and designer whose research-led practice explores cultural heritage, craftsmanship, architecture and community through detailed visual storytelling. Working across drawing, spatial design and participatory practice, she documents and reimagines traditional craftsmanship and living heritage, connecting past, present and future.
She holds an MA in Illustration (Distinction) from Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London, and a BA in Environment and Interior Design from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at Saatchi Gallery, London, and across Hong Kong, New York, Taipei, Beijing, Shenzhen, Germany and Greece, with exhibitions at RWA Bristol and Bankside Gallery in 2026.
Wincy is the Asia Winner of the Art for Change Prize 2024 and New Talent Winner at the World Illustration Awards, and has received Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators, recognition from the International Design Awards, and the Architecture Master Prize Discovery of the Year Award. Her work has been featured in Designboom, Being HK Magazine, Zolima City Magazine, Saatchi Gallery Press, and Curatory Magazine.
She received the London Social Venture Grant in 2025 and is the co-founder of InSeal, a project exploring Chinese seal carving and cultural craftsmanship.
