Note from the Artist:
This series is inspired by some of the memorable wildlife I encounters in the trip to Sri Lanka.
Wilpattu National Park is larger than Hong Kong's land area. It encompasses diverse habitats-from dense forests and wetlands to arid grasslands-home to countless species. While there, we witnessed a breathtaking butterfly migration; they fluttered along the driveways, creating a shimmering yellowish path as we drove through the park.
Species in the print:
Painted Stork (Mycteria leucocephala)
Black-headed Ibis (Threskiornis melanocephalus)
Asian Woolly-necked Stork (Ciconia episcopus)
Sri Lankan Elephant (Elephas maximus ssp. maximus)
Sri Lankan Leopard (Panthera pardus ssp. kotiya)
Sri Lankan Sloth Bear (Melursus ursinus ssp. inornatus)
Grey Slender Loris (Loris lydekkerianus)
Indian Star Tortoise (Geochelone elegans)
Brown-speckled Whipsnake (Ahaetulla pulverulenta) and
Marbled Sand Frog (Sphaerotheca roland)
Sri Lankan Lesser (Albatross Appias galene)
